Meet the Group head - Bill's inter arcade services (BIS)
Entrepreneurship is often celebrated through success stories, but very few people witness the countless nights of uncertainty, relentless research, countless revisions, and unwavering belief that happen long before a business ever reaches the public. Bills Interarcade Services (BIS) is far more than a company. It represents years of observation, experience, resilience, creativity, and an enduring desire to solve a problem that millions of consumers and businesses encounter every day.
Every Great Idea Begins With a Problem
Fouder's Desk:
For years, I observed a recurring challenge in commerce. Businesses invested heavily in attracting customers, while customers continuously searched for better value, trust, and rewarding shopping experiences. Despite the rapid growth of digital commerce, there remained a noticeable disconnect between businesses trying to gain loyal customers and consumers looking for meaningful incentives beyond occasional discounts. This observation sparked a simple but powerful question:
What if every purchase could become rewarding?
That question eventually became the foundation of Bills Interarcade Services (BIS).
The vision was never simply to create another cashback platform. The goal was to build a customer-to-business (C2B) ecosystem that benefits both sides of the marketplace—helping businesses increase visibility and customer retention while allowing consumers to earn cashback on their everyday purchases. It was about creating sustainable value rather than temporary promotions. From Concept to Reality, Like many entrepreneurial journeys, the first idea was only the beginning.
Transforming an idea into a practical service required months of planning, documentation, research, market observation, business model refinement, and continuous testing.
Every assumption had to be questioned.
Every process had to be improved.
Every feature had to answer one important question:
"Does this genuinely create value for both customers and businesses?"
Many concepts that initially appeared promising eventually proved impractical.
Some ideas were discarded entirely.
Others evolved after multiple redesigns.
Each refinement brought BIS closer to becoming the platform I had envisioned.
The Pressure of Competition
Building an innovative company today means entering markets occupied by well-funded organizations with larger teams, bigger marketing budgets, and established customer bases.
There were moments when comparing a growing startup to multinational corporations felt intimidating.
Every new competitor announcement could easily become a reason to quit.
Instead, it became motivation.
Rather than attempting to imitate larger companies, I focused on differentiation. Innovation isn't always about creating something that has never existed. Sometimes it is about improving existing experiences in ways that genuinely matter to everyday people, That philosophy became central to BIS.
Your environment tells something about you. Sometimes, we cant see it, because we're blinded by the evironment itself.
The Bill Nelson. Founder BIS
Resilience Beyond the Headlines:
People often admire finished products without appreciating the journey behind them. There were sleepless nights filled with planning, redesigning business processes, documenting ideas, sketching workflows, researching customer behaviour, and refining strategies. Many mornings began where the previous night had ended.
The entrepreneurial journey demanded sacrifices that most people never see, It required patience when progress appeared slow. Faith when outcomes were uncertain. And discipline to continue building even when immediate results were absent. Resilience became more valuable than resources. Consistency became more important than speed. The Importance of Documentation One habit that proved invaluable throughout this journey was documentation. Every idea was written down. Every improvement was recorded. Every customer insight became part of an evolving knowledge base.
My background in journalism strengthened this process significantly.
Journalism teaches observation, research, clarity, and storytelling. Those same principles became essential in entrepreneurship. Recording ideas, analysing trends, understanding consumer behaviour, and communicating solutions effectively helped transform abstract concepts into structured business strategies. Good businesses are not only built with ideas. They are built with documented learning.
When Even the Name Had to Change
One of the less glamorous but important moments in building the company came during the registration process. The original business name I envisioned could not proceed because of regulatory requirements during the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration process. Like many entrepreneurs, I had invested emotionally in that original identity. Having to change it was disappointing. However, entrepreneurship teaches flexibility. Instead of viewing the change as a setback, I embraced it as part of the evolution of the company.
The result was Bills Interarcade Services (BIS), a name that now represents innovation, resilience, and the broader vision of connecting customers with businesses through rewarding commerce.
Sometimes the path changes without changing the destination.
A Creative Foundation Built Over 18 Years Long before founding BIS, I spent nearly two decades building a career across multiple creative and technology disciplines. Over the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of working as an international broadcaster, voice actor, motion graphics designer, graphic designer, and front-end developer.
Each profession contributed something unique to the entrepreneurial journey. Broadcasting taught effective communication. Voice acting developed confidence and storytelling. Graphic and motion design strengthened creativity and user experience. Front-end development provided technical insight into digital product design and usability.
Together, these experiences shaped not only my professional identity but also the way BIS was designed—from branding and communication to customer experience and digital interaction. Being respected within the creative industry has always been a responsibility I value deeply, and that same commitment to excellence continues to influence every decision behind BIS.
Why Bills Interarcade Services Exists
At its heart, Bills Interarcade Services exists to bridge a gap that has existed for far too long. Businesses need loyal customers. Customers deserve to be rewarded for their spending. BIS creates a platform where those two interests meet. By enabling users to earn cashback on purchases while helping businesses attract and retain customers, the platform creates a mutually beneficial ecosystem rather than a one-sided transaction. Our vision extends beyond cashback.
BIS creates relationships, BIS creates customer loyalty. BIS helps businesses grow sustainably. Most importantly, BIS is creating opportunities for consumers to gain more value from purchases they already make every day.
Looking Ahead
The journey is far from over. Every milestone reached simply reveals the next challenge to solve. Innovation requires continuous learning. Markets evolve, Technology changes. Customer expectations rise. BIS will continue adapting, improving, and expanding with those realities. The mission remains unchanged:
To build a trusted C2B ecosystem that rewards consumers, empowers businesses, and redefines how commerce creates value for everyone involved.A Final Reflection
Looking back, I realise that Bills Interarcade Services was never built solely on technology or business strategy. It was built on resilience. On thousands of documented ideas. On years of creative experience, on countless hours of learning. on the courage to continue despite uncertainty.Every challenge strengthened the vision. Every setback refined the mission. Every lesson reinforced one belief: When purpose meets persistence, innovation becomes inevitable. And this is only the beginning.
